Kaka Calls God Bless A Reference For Slank To Continue Working
JAKARTA - Slank's vocalist, Kaka stated that God Bless was his reference to continue to make music and produce works.
For Kaka, the commitment of God Bless's personnel to music for 50 years of work is a reference for many younger musicians, especially for Slank.
'Slank, how can you not lose. If God Bless still exists, it means Slank can't exist," said Kaka when giving testimony in A Tribute to God Bless on the Synchronize Fest 2023 stage on Saturday, September 2.
Kaka expressed his admiration to see God Bless who still appears as a rockstar on stage. Moreover, the band fronted by Achmad Albar, Ian Antono, Abadi Soesman, Donny Fattah, and Fajar Satritama has just released the album Anthology 50th Year Anniversary.
"Yes, Alhamdulillah, until today we are still excited. Because I see God Bless still exists, God Bless is still working, God Bless is still releasing the album, God Bless is still performing, God Bless is still cool on stage," said Kaka.
"Yes, why should I stop?" he added.
The 49-year-old singer also shared an unforgettable experience when she had the opportunity to present a Lifetime Achievement Award on a private television station.
"That night God Bless will get a Lifetime Achievement Award, a present Slank," said Kaka opening the story.
"That night I was very excited and I wanted to make something different. Finally I opened the blazer, didn't I wear clothes, even though the private TV had already said don't take off my clothes," he continued.

Although that night went smoothly without any problems, Kaka said Slank had to be boycotted and could not appear on the television station for five years.
Kaka also told how the God Bless personnel she knew were figures who lived in the midst of her great name in the Indonesian music industry.
"The name God Bless to this day can be a giant because of what it is, because it is grounded. If you know one person, you will feel what they are like," concluded Kaka.
