Anies Spokesperson Lifts Topics For AHY Who Has Moved On: Show Political Growth
Spokesperson for Anies Baswedan, Sudirman Said, took his hat off at the attitude of the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) who claimed to have moved on in response to the surprising political dynamics after Anies Baswedan - Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin's declaration as a pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024.
According to Sudirman, AHY has shown maturity in politics in the midst of an difficult atmosphere. It is known, Anies Baswedan chose Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate after sending a letter to AHY to be his partner in the 2024 presidential election.
"The attitude of forgiveness and inviting all cadres to'move on' gives a signal that shows political maturity, both from the General Chair of Mas AHY and the entire ranks of the Democratic Party," said Sudirman Said in his statement, Monday, September 4.
AHY is even still open to opportunities to cooperate with Anies in the future. Sudirman assessed that the attitude of the son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia was very statesman.
"The willingness to continue working together on larger national agendas is a commendable attitude, which places the interests of the nation above the subjective interests of each party," said Sudirman. what happened between the two was not an act of betrayal against each other, but a good intention and commitment to cooperation that had not met momentum," said Sudirman.
"Both of them have limitations in making it happen, especially Mas Anies, who is not a certain party administrator or cadre, so he does not have the power to force him to decide what to choose from," he added.
Sudirman also prayed for AHY and the Democratic Party to find the best way to work together to continue to contribute to Indonesia's future improvements and kindness.
Sudirman realized that the election and presidential election were only one fragment of the management of the nation and state. If the election has not been able to cooperate, he said, there are still many big agendas that can bring together the two young figures.
"If for one reason or another, fate still takes both of them to continue working together in the 2024 General Election, the road is still wide open," he concluded.
