This Is Celine Dion's Latest Condition Stiff Person Syndrome
JAKARTA - Celine Dion's sister shared the latest news about her sister's health struggling with Stiff Person Syndrome.
Last year, the Canadian music icon revealed that she was diagnosed with a neurological disease called Stiff Person Syndrome, a very rare neurological autoimmune condition that affects one in a million people.
Unfortunately, this means Dion has postponed and then canceled next year's Courage tour due to health problems.
Claudette Dion, the sister of queen of power ballad, opened up about Celine's condition in her interview with Hello! Canada. Claudette praised the singer as a'strong woman', explaining that she did everything she could to be better.
This is a disease that we know very little,' he explained. There are seizures impossible to control. Do you know who people wake up at night due to cramps in the legs or calf? It's a bit like that but in all muscles. There's not much we can do to support it, to relieve the pain," he said of his brother's symptoms. He did everything to recover. She's a strong woman.
Claudette, who is also a singer, added that both her family and friends hope the researchers can find a cure for this terrible disease.
In December, Celine posted a video to her Instagram explaining how the disease affected her life.

"This shock affects every aspect of my life, sometimes it causes difficulty while walking and doesn't allow me to use the sound band to sing as usual," Celine explained as she cried.
I have a team of great doctors who work with me to help me get better, and my precious children who support and give me hope. I work hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to rebuild my strength and ability to perform again, but I have to admit this is a struggle.
He continued: 'All I know is singing, that's what I've been doing my whole life and that's what I love the most. I really miss you guys, I miss seeing you all, being on stage, performing for you guys. I always give 100 percent when I do my show, but my condition doesn't allow me to give that to you right now.'
Dion ended by saying: This is my focus and I'm doing everything I can to recover. I want to say thank you very much for your encouraging hope of love and support on my social media. This means a lot to me. Take care of yourself, all right. I really love you. And I really hope to see you soon again.
