The Body Of Social Activist Michelle Doga, Victim Of The KKB Shooting, Was Evacuated To Jayapura

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Heri Purnomo said the body of Michelle Kurisi Doga, who is a humanitarian volunteer, was evacuated to Jayapura, Papua, using a plane belonging to Trigana with the flight code PK-YSV.

"The victim's body has been evacuated to Jayapura accompanied by the deceased's mother and family," said AKBP Heri as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 1.

The victim died as a result of being shot by an armed criminal group (KKB) whose body was found Thursday (31/8) in Koloyak Village, Kolowa District, Lanny Jaya Regency.

When it was found that the condition of the body had been buried covered with trees, after it was found that members of the Jayawijaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately processed the crime scene (TKP).

"Hopefully the security and social security situation will be maintained and hope that the community will not be easily provoked," hoped the Police Chief.

Previously, Dandim 1702/Jayawijaya Lt. Col. Cpn Athetius Murip, said that the victim Michelle Kurisi died Monday (28/8), the process of evacuating the bodies was experiencing difficulties due to difficult and steep terrain. After the evacuation, the bodies were then taken to Wamena Hospital, Jayawijaya Regency.

The late Michelle Kurisi is a social volunteer who is widely known by the public and leaders because of her concern for women and children in remote parts of Papua.

Michelle Kurisi is the grandson of the head of the Silo Tribe, said Dandim 1702/Jayawijaya Lt. Col. Cpn Athetius Murip.
