DPRD And Medan City Government Agree To RAPBD 2024 Rp7.99 Trillion

MEDAN - Medan City DPRD and Medan City Government, North Sumatra, approved the general budget (KUA) policy and the temporary budget ceiling (PPAS) for the 2024 RAPBD of Rp7.99 trillion.

"In terms of spending for the 2024 fiscal year, it is Rp. 7,997,198,716,003," said Deputy Chairman of the Medan City DPRD Rajudin Sagala in a plenary meeting to sign the memorandum of agreement for the KUA PPAS RAPBD Medan City 2024 in Medan, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 29.

This, he continued, was based on a report from the Medan City DPRD Budget Agency with a local government budget team and regional apparatus organizations within the Medan City Government.

Then, regional revenues amounted to IDR 7.46 trillion, revenue financing of IDR 531.63 billion and expenditure financing of IDR 531.63 billion.

"In terms of regional income of more than Rp7.46 trillion, we are optimistic that the Medan City Government will set an income target by looking at the achievements in 2022 until the first half of 2023," explained Rajudin.

This legislator also states that increasing public awareness and compliance in paying taxes has a correlation with improving the quality of urban development.

"The determination of the revenue target projection through optimistic calculations must be realized to optimize all potential income, so as not to interfere with regional spending programs," he said.

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution said that the current situation and conditions and challenges for urban development are quite dynamic, accompanied by increasingly complex demands and interests.

Moreover, in 2024, he said, external and political conditions will also be influenced by national and local conditions, so that the Medan City APBD that is set can be maintained so that it is effective and focused.

"Especially in the priority city development programs that we have set, so that it becomes the city's economic stimulus as in the 2024 PPAS KUA RAPBD," said Bobby.
