Platform X Stops Advertising Account Promotion To Attract New Followers
JAKARTA - Social Media Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, will no longer allow advertisers to promote their accounts within this platform's timeline to attract new followers. This was reported by on Tuesday, August 15 citing an email to advertising clients.
A promoted account, or ad "Fulk Destinations", generates more than US$100 million (Rp1.5 trillion) of global revenue annually for X, according to the report.

Advertisers rely largely on ads for advocated followers to develop businesses on this platform and target certain audiences.
CEO Linda Yaccarino, former chief of advertising at NBCUniversal, has been trying to rebrand the company's image since she started as CEO on June 5 and returned advertisers who left the platform after changes made by Elon Musk.
