Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 Finalist, Baby Kristami Denies Allegations Asked To Silence

JAKARTA - The scandal against Miss Universe Indonesia (MUID) 2023 finalists that occurred during body checks or body checks has been in the public spotlight recently.

However, it is known that not all finalists feel they are being harassed during body checking. Baby Kristami felt that she had not experienced what some of her friends felt.

"For myself personally, I am not photographed, because there are no tattoos and wounds. There is no threat either, I do not feel threatened at all," said Baby Kristami in Tendean, South Jakarta on Monday, August 14.

Baby Kristami, who has just opened her voice, also denied allegations that she was asked to remain silent, considering that she was the 4th runner up in the event.

"If it's from me personally, I can't be forced to remain silent, no one is forced either," said Baby Kristami.

The finalist from Jakarta admitted that he had also communicated with several of his friends who felt harassed. He hopes that the case currently being handled by the police can be clear.

"Some of them I have asked the news, they are doing well now. So, please pray friends, hopefully there will be a bright spot for all of this," he said.

Baby Kristami also asked all parties to respect the ongoing legal process. He also hopes that there will be no bullying for the 2023 MUID finalists.

"What is certain is that we will see the ongoing legal process. For my friends who feel harassed, we must respect their feelings and provide a safe space," said Baby.

"Netizens also finally don't become cyberbullying actors, yes, and also harass women out there, either on social media or in real life," he added.

Baby Kristami sees what is happening today as a lesson for all parties to be more sensitive to cases of violence and sexual harassment.

This is a lesson for all of us to be more aware and oppose sexual harassment, concluded Baby Kristami, the 4th runner-up of Miss Universe Indonesia 2023.
