Austin Butler Reveals Tom Hanks' Advice After Elvis's Role
JAKARTA - Austin Butler said Tom Hanks gave him advice after starring in Elvis. Butler is known to play the pop star who helped him get an Oscar nomination thanks to his role.
Butler explained that the senior actor was worried after seeing Butler explore an Elvis role for two years. Therefore, Hanks offers the latest project with a different story for Austin Butler.
"(Tom Hanks) said, 'You're submerging yourself so deep in Elvis that, for your mental health, you should immediately divert yourself to other things' Austin Butler said following Tom Hans's advice from the Sunday Times.
"If you get off the train, you must have had an emotional blow and you know.. I have something that is being produced," he continued.

Butler then agreed to take on a role in the Masters of The Air series, a series produced by Tom Hanks with Steven Spielberg. The series tells the story of 100th Bombardment, a group from the Air Force during the 2nd world war.
Apart from Butler, this series also stars Barry Keoghan, Callum Turner, Ncuti Gatwa, Anthony Boyle and James Murray.
Following Hanks' advice, Austin Butler is also preparing two of his latest films after finishing with Elvis's promotions.
The two latest Austin Butler films are Dune: Part Two where he plays the Feyd-Rautha and directed by Denis Villeneuve. The film will premiere in November 2023 in theaters. While the other is the Bikeriders directed by Jeff Nichols and enter post-production.
Austin Butler and Tom Hanks met in Elvis. Butler plays the main character while Hanks becomes Tom Parker's manager.
