Through Munasus 2023, PRSI's Name Has Changed To Indonesian Acute

JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI) changed its name and logo to Indonesian Aquatics, which was officially ratified at the 2023 PRSI Special National Conference or Special Conference in Jakarta, Saturday, August 5.

"Through Munasus 2023, his name has changed from PRSI to Indonesian Aquatics. With a new name and a new logo, it will represent other sports besides swimming," said Chairman of Indonesian Aquatics Anindya Bakrie, quoting Antara, Sunday, August 6.

"There are water polos, diving, artistic swimming, high diving, open water swimming and master swimming." he continued.

The change of PRSI's name to Indonesian Aquatics was in response to the change of name and logo of the World Swimming Federation from FINA to World Aquatics. The same thing is also done by aquatic federations in various countries.

In designing the logo, Aquatic Indonesia has involved the community through the "Sayembara Logo Aquatic Indonesia" which will be held from 5-18 July 2023.

The competition was enthusiastically welcomed by the public with many works entering, namely 500 works from 450 participants with each participant being allowed to send a maximum of two works.

Participants who participated were quite diverse, ranging from elementary school children (SD), secondary schools, students, professionals, swimmers, to provincial administrators, as well as other elements of society.

The new logo represents aquatic sports, including swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming, high diving, open water swimming and masters.

It is hoped that the new logo can bring new enthusiasm for Aquatic Indonesia to be more advanced and accomplished.

"It's also nice to change the logo, which involves a lot of people in the creative design sector. Hopefully this new logo can lift Indonesia's aquatic achievements," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno who is also Chairman of the Indonesian Aquatic Board of Trustees.
