Prabowo's Electability As A Presidential Candidate For The SPIN Survey Version Is Still Superior
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Survey and Poling Institute (SPIN) released the latest survey results which stated that the candidate for president of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR) Prabowo Subianto was still superior to the other two candidates.
"The survey findings as of July 2023 from 13 presidential candidates, Prabowo's electability of 34 percent, ahead of Ganjar Pranowo by 20.1 percent and Anies Baswedan by 19 percent," said SPIN Executive Director Igor Dirgantara during an online presentation in Jakarta, Friday, August 4.
Ganjar Pranowo is a candidate for presidential candidate promoted by the PDI-P and PPP. Anies Baswedan will be a presidential candidate promoted by the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP), namely NasDem, Democrats, and PKS. Prabowo Subianto was promoted by KIR with the Gerindra Party and PKB.
The factor in increasing Prabowo Subianto's electability, said Igor, was influenced by a number of blunders made by the presidential candidate from other coalitions.
Meanwhile, Erick Thohir and Ridwan Kamil are two national figures who are ranked fourth and fifth from the SPIN survey.
In the survey, respondents were asked if the simultaneous elections were held today, and followed by only three presidential candidates, Prabowo received 41.7 percent, Ganjar in second place with 30.3 percent and Anies Baswedan with 21 percent.
Igor revealed that there was an increase in public trust in President Jokowi's government. This is because of the figure of Prabowo Subianto who joined the Jokowi-Ma'ruf government.
"Most of the public or 81.2 percent agree with Prabowo's attitude in joining the Jokowi-Maruf government. This percentage figure continues to increase, it is suspected that the public's perception of Prabowo's attitude will always narrate the unity of the nation, both in terms of supporters and Jokowi's supporters themselves," he explained, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, August 5.
Prabowo Subianto's performance while in the cabinet also consistently was in a fairly high number based on the opinions of the respondents.
As many as 18.9 percent of the public still assesses the Minister/Ministry of Defense as the most real work at this time. Followed by the Minister/Ministry of Social Affairs 15.6 percent and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs 10.1 percent.
The SPIN survey on July 15-25, 2023, involved 1,230 respondents with sample distribution areas in 34 provinces. The sample technique uses multistage random sampling.
The direct interview data collection technique (direct interview) with the help of a questionnaire, the margin of error in this survey is +/- 2.8 percent, and the confidence level is 95 percent.
