Partnering With UFC, Meta Presents MMA Match To Meta Horizon Worlds
JAKARTA - Thursday, August 3, Meta announced its partnership with the UFC, to present the MMA action displayed on the UFC directly to the Meta Horizon Worlds platform on the Meta Quest.
Through this new partnership, Meta Director for Entertainment Content Meta Sarah Malkin admits that she is very happy because she can provide experiences to people who have not been able to watch MMA matches in person.
"VR offers a unique in-depth event, bringing fans closer and personal for any removal, handover, and knockout with the UFC FIGHT PASS at Xtadium and Dunia," Malkin said in an announcement on its official website.

Last year, the Facebook parent company claimed to have tested this technology by presenting several MMA shows. Now, Meta will present a live MMA schedule on Meta Horizon Worlds.
"The live MMA event schedule available on Xtadium via UFC FIGHT PASS is growing and we will help build a dedicated UFC world on Meta Horizon Worlds that will offer the biggest fight in UFC history in a 180-degree 4K neighborhood," said Craig Borsari, Chief Content Officer and Executive Producer at the UFC.
Borsari also revealed that the presence of MMA events on the AR Meta headset is expected to create greater fan engagement and grow the sport itself.
MMA fans can expect a 4K resolution and a 180-degree VR catch as they experience a direct immersive fight by sitting do the cage side for free at Xtadium.
