Akibat Bakaran Sampah Yang Ditinggalkan, Lahan Blank Milik Dishut Terbakar

JAKARTA - Piles of garbage in an empty land belonging to the Forestry Service in the Dukuh Village area, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, caught fire on Friday, July 28, evening. Thick black smoke continued to soar into the air.

"The object that caught fire was garbage on forestry land. The area burned was about 200 square meters and was at three different points," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman, Friday, July 28, evening.

According to Gatot, the land belongs to the Dishut (Dinas Kehutanan). The fire continued to grow because the waste material dried up.

"The cause was because there was a burning of garbage left. The fire was gradually extinguished at 21.00 WIB after being assisted by 2 fire fighting cars," he said.

Gatot confirmed that currently the land situation has been extinguished from the fire. There were no injuries from the fire.
