Residents' Settlement Fire In South Tugu Koja Padam, Allegedly Due To Burning Garbage

JAKARTA - The fire that hit densely populated settlements, precisely on Kelapa Hijau Street, Tugu Selatan Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, has been extinguished.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Satriadi Gunawan, said the red rooster was successfully extinguished at 15.48 WIB.

"Data on the fire incident on Jalan Kelapa Hijau RT 03 RW 07, localized at 14:19 WIB, cooling at 14.53 WIB, and finished at 14.53 WIB," said Satriadi in his statement, Friday, July 28.

Based on the interim examination, Satriadi said the fire was suspected to have occurred due to the burning of garbage.

"The chronology is that the fire from the burning of garbage grew and spread to residential areas," he said.

This fire scorched 11 houses with an area of 1,250 square meters burned. It is estimated that the losses suffered by residents reached around Rp. 200 million.

In its handling, the DKI Jakarta Gulkarmat Service deployed 85 personnel by deploying 17 fire engines to extinguish the fire.
