Jokowi Encourages Indonesian Athletes At The FISU World University Game Event
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo gave encouragement directly to the athletes who will compete in the 2023 FISU World University Game.
"I am happy that at this FISU University Games we can continue to participate," said President Jokowi when meeting with athletes at the Shangri-La Hotel, Chengdu, China, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 28.
In front of the 51 athletes who will compete, the Head of State advised that they will compete to carry the name of Indonesia in the world student sports event.
"I really ask that later in the match everyone will be in a top position," the president ordered.
President Jokowi hopes that all athletes who compete can provide maximum results.
"The spirit, so that the results we get really are the maximum results," he added.
President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana are indeed scheduled to come to the Dong'an Lake Sport Stadium to attend the opening ceremony of the FISU World University Games before finally leaving for Jakarta.

World University Games Summer 2023 is a worldwide university meeting held by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) which will take place from July 26 to August 9, 2023.
There are 18 sports (sports) that are competed, such as Badminton, Archery, Athletics, Artistic Gymnastics, and Basketball. Indonesia participated as participants by sending 51 participants from 31 campuses to dive into eight sports.
