Asusila Perpetrators At The KPK Detention Center Only Get Medium Ethics Sanctions, This Is What The Council Said
JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has spoken about the moderate ethical punishment for immoral perpetrators in detention centers. He said they could only give moral sanctions.
"We are just ethics. Yes, it is only a moral sanction at the KPK," said Chairman of the KPK Council Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean to reporters, Monday, June 26.
Meanwhile, disciplinary sanctions against prison officers were handed over to the KPK, said Tumpak. "Whether he was dismissed or fired, how do I not know," he said.
"We can't (we propose to fire, ed). If we don't have the authority to fire people, employees. Nothing," continued Tumpak.
Previously, KPK investigator Novel Baswedan revealed allegations of immorality at the KPK detention center. This made the receipt of illegal levies revealed.
"There is an immoral case against the wife of a KPK detainee," Novel told reporters in a written statement, Friday, June 23.

Novel did not specify the immoral act. However, from the information circulating the employee was named Mustarsidin.
This act allegedly occurred from August to October 2022 and was only revealed in January 2023. Mustarsidin is suspected of harassing the wife of a detainee at the KPK detention center by asking for a photo of a sensitive area.
