Otter Chat, a New AI Chatbot that Can Help Users Attend Meetings
JAKARTA - Another chatbot that can ease human work, Otter Chat. Developed by Otter.ai, this collaborative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is designed as an aid to users when presenting work meetings.
Otter Chat will act as a meeting participant who directly answers questions, collaborates with meeting participants, and generates content based on meeting data.
“While ChatGPT has great knowledge based on public data, it cannot answer any questions about your own team meeting. Besides, it's just a 1:1 human-robot chat without team collaboration," said CEO and co-founder of Otter.ai, Sam Liang in the company's official blog, quoted Thursday, June 22.
Users can also collaborate using Otter Chat to message each other, seeking clarification and details without interrupting the flow of verbal discussion.
Using the meeting as AI language model, Otter Chat can perform a variety of other functions, including scheduling, taking notes, tracking action items, and even sharing meeting snippets with key team members regardless of whether they attend the meeting or not.

"This is a transformational leap that empowers teams to take full advantage of the value of their meetings in a collaborative and AI-savvy way - exactly when and where they need it," said Liang.
A recent Otter.ai survey found that more than 70 percent of professionals already use some form of AI in their work.
Likewise, more than 86 percent believe their work will look a lot different in a year because of AI tools like Otter Chat, which will revolutionize the way teams work and collaborate.
Otter Chat will roll out to all users in the coming days. Just like the previous Otter.ai feature, the data used in Otter Chat will not be stored by third parties.
