Mataram Walkot Completes Investigation Of The NTB Prosecutor's Office In Alleged Corruption Of PT AMGM Whose 46 Percent Shares Belong To The City Government

The Mayor of Mataram Mohan Roliskana has fulfilled the summons for an investigation by the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) today.

Mohan diperiksa terkait kasus dugaan korupsi proyek fisik dan penarikan retribusi di PT Air Minum Giri Menang (AMGM).

"I am grateful for this summons," said Mohan at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Mataram, Tuesday, June 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

After being questioned, Mohan said that he gave information to special criminal investigators from the NTB Prosecutor's Office regarding the investment in capital sourced from the Mataram City Government (Pemkot).

Regarding the alleged corruption case, Mohan admitted that investigators did not mention it. "There is no such thing, I am just a matter of capital participation," he added.

The Mataram City Government is known to own 46 percent shares in PT AMGM. The shares come from the government's capital participation budget.

With this investment, Mohan assured the NTB Prosecutor's Office investigators that PT AMGM had carried out its obligations, one of which was related to the distribution of dividends with 54 percent of shareholders from the West Lombok Regency Government.

Previously, in this case, the NTB Prosecutor's Office investigators summoned the Mataram Mayor Mohan Roliskana and the Director of PT AMGM Lalu Ahmad Zaini on Monday 19 June.

Only Lalu Ahmad Zaini answered the call. Meanwhile, Mohan stated that he was unable to attend his inaugural examination agenda.

Meanwhile, in the same case, West Lombok Regent H. Fauzan Khalid is scheduled to undergo an examination by the NTB Prosecutor's Office today.

The alleged corruption case at PT Air Drinking Giri Wins (AMGM) is related to physical projects for building installations and water installations as well as withdrawal of levies.

Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati, said that the investigation into this case was still at the stage of collecting data and information.

Elly said that this case went to the investigating table of the NTB Prosecutor's Office starting from a public report. In the report, the project that was suspected of having problems was related to budget management in 2019-2020.

The work reportedly had problems with the installation of a concrete panel fence at the Sembung "Water Treatment Plant" (WTP) and the procurement of wells at 10 location points.

In addition, there are allegations of corruption in the construction project of the production equipment building, salt building, reading section room, building, and interior completeness of the PT AMGM Branch Office in the Narmada area, West Lombok Regency.

According to the reporter, there was a volume shortage in a number of project work items in 2019-2020 with a value of at least IDR 1 billion.

The complainant suspects that there has been misappropriation of the budget and abuse of office related to the collection of waste retribution payments. According to the reporter, the levy of waste levies has been included in one account of the PT AMGM customer bill.
