Dash Tennis Tournament Successfully Held, Participants Give Appreciation And Hope
JAKARTA - The amateur tennis event TipTip Dash Tennis Tournament which took place last weekend was a success. Despite being colored by rain, the match continued according to schedule.
A total of 96 dual teams from 7 clubs and the tennis sports community from the Greater Jakarta area appeared in the event initiated by Dash Sports.
7 clubs and the tennis sports community that sent athletes including Tennis Launcher (Cinere), Spinderellas (Cipete), Debros (Senayan), The Court (Jakarta), WSC, Green Slam and Forty Love (Bintaro).
The management of Tennis Launcher club, Rama Kharisma said, no target has been set by his team in this event. They made this tournament a special moment to gain experience competing in the championship.
"Indeed, tennis sports are currently gaining popularity from the public. We really welcome this event because it provides opportunities for amateur and recreational players to gain experience participating in tournaments," he said.
One of the amateur players who competed, Muhammad Abadi, appreciated this tournament. According to him, Dash Tennis Tournament is very well-organized and deserves to be a benchmark for other similar amateur tournaments.
"I hope there will continue to be this tournament, and add a single category in it," he said.
At this inaugural event, Dash Tennis Tournament also competed in the exhibition match between national disabled tennis athletes, Agus Fitriadi and Enjang. The fight between the two also presented an exciting spectacle that entertained the visitors.
"It's great to be able to play at the TipTip Dash Tennis Tournament and appreciate Dash Sports for his good initiative to hold a wheelchair tennis exhibition match," said Endang.
"Hopefully there will be regeneration seeds in the tennis wheelchair, because being an athlete there are many quite challenging factors such as time and costs that must be devoted," he continued.
