Central Sulawesi Police Dismantle International Network Narcotics Syndicate, Evidence 15 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine
PALU - Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) managed to uncover the circulation of 15 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Tolitoli Regency, which is a syndicate of the Malaysian-Indonesia international network.
"The disclosure began with public information and when we took action we found 15 kilograms of evidence in a resident's plantation," said Director of Drug Investigation at the Central Sulawesi Police AKBP Dasmin Ginting, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.
From the results of the disclosure of narcotics crime cases, the police managed to secure four suspected perpetrators.
The four people, namely MJ, played a role in picking up goods in Malaysia by sea, then AS acted as couriers from ships to land, then ML was a housewife in charge of guarding goods, and ST whose role was still being investigated.
"At the crime scene (TKP) we also secured a two-wheeled vehicle used to carry illegal goods," he said.
He stated that currently the police are still investigating to raise the status of suspected perpetrators, develop plans for the distribution of methamphetamine, and owners of goods.
"The results of the examination of the four people who were arrested were negative for taking drugs, and we are still investigating other matters related to this international syndicate," he said.
Based on the interim examination, the suspects have each carried out these activities three times since 2022.
From this case, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police admitted that they managed to save 75 thousand people from narcotics abuse.

"Article 114 paragraph 2 and Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics, the threat of a minimum sentence of 6 years, a maximum of 20 years or the death penalty," said Dasmin.
On that occasion, the police showed evidence of 15 kilograms of methamphetamine seized from the hands of the perpetrators in the Tolitoli Regency area.
