JAKARTA - Liverpool successfully recruited Alexis Mac Allister on a long-term contract. The player's transfer fee from Brighton and Hove Albion is kept secret.
Mac Allister became Liverpool's first signing in the transfer market this summer. Reds manager Jurgen Klopp enthusiastically welcomed him.
"We add very talented, very intelligent, very technically skilled players to our team and this is great news, really," Klopp said, quoted on the club's official website.
Klopp admitted that he did not need to explain much about the ability of the 24-year-old player because the quality of the player was already known.
"I don't think the world of football needs me to say too much about Alexis' quality because they are quite famous," Klopp said, as reported by Antara.

In the past year, Mac Allister has been brilliant with Brighton and the Argentine national team.
With 10 goals and two assists from 35 appearances with The Seagulls in the English Premier League (EPL) or the 2022/2023 Premier League, Mac Allister is an important part of the club based at the American Express Community Stadium competing in Europe next season to be precise UEFA Europa League (UEL) or Europa League after finishing in sixth place EPL 2022/2023.
"My admiration and respect for what Brighton is doing is very well known and Alexis has been part of the journey they have gone through to become one of the toughest and best teams in the Premier League," said the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
