Mythoma, A Japanese Player Who Hits The English Premier League
JAKARTA - The namepan Mitoma is one of the highlights of the English Premier League this season. The Japanese player performed impressively with Brighton and Hove Albion.
Mitoma hopes to perform better with Brighton next season.
Mitoma became one of the brightest players on the English Premier League 2022/2023 stage. In his inaugural season, Mitoma performed 33 times with The Seagulls and contributed seven goals and five assists.
The score also successfully led his club to finish sixth in the final standings and qualify for the first time in a competition between European clubs next season, to be precise the Europa League.
"I've had a good experience by trying to get used to the new environment and hoping to do even better next season," Mitoma said, quoted from Brighton & Hove Albion's official website.
Since making his debut against Newcastle on August 13, 2022, Mitoma has almost played full time with Brighton Premier League this season. The Japanese national team player is pleased with his positive record.
"The fact that I can play many games during my first season consistently is a positive thing. It's also good that I didn't have a big injury," said Mitoma.
Despite shining in his first season, Mitoma admitted that he did not want to be satisfied quickly. The 26-year-old is determined to increase his playing level to perform better next season.
"This season, I think I can do much better, especially at the end of the season, when I can't record many goals or assists. I think I should look back well at those times," Mitoma said, as reported by Antara, Saturday, June 3.
"I have to improve the quality of my game to another level, or next season it will be a difficult season," said Mitoma.

Furthermore, the player who was born on May 20, 1997, admitted that he felt at home to strengthen the club that is now being trained by Roberto De Zerbi.
"This city has a good climate, the sea is close, so this is a very good place to live," said Mitoma.
He also admitted that he felt at home for Brighton because the club based in southern England had a fantastic supporter base that never tired of supporting the club when playing at home or away.
"The fans cheered for us with loud voices both at home and away," said Mitoma.
"I feel real warmth, they are extraordinary fans. The staff behind the scenes are also good people, I'm very happy here," he continued.
