70,830 Illegal Drugs From Cilacap Ready To Circulate In South Sumatra, The Perpetrator Has Been Operating For 10 Years Arrested
The police confiscated tens of thousands of sachets of illegal drugs suspected of being dangerous which are ready to be circulated in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra (Sumsel). A total of 70,830 methamphetamine were confiscated.
Deputy Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the South Sumatra Regional Police AKBP Putu Yudha Prawira said the tens of thousands of pills of various brands were stored in a house on Jalan Kolonel Wahid Udin, Sekayu, Muba, South Sumatra.
The South Sumatra Police confiscated on Wednesday, May 24 at around 02.00 WIB after carrying out operations to a number of traditional markets in Musi Banyuasin in response to reports from the public regarding the rampant circulation of illegal drugs.
"From the development, it is known that the drugs belonged to a man with the initials AS, as well as the owner of the house where evidence was found. The US has been named a suspect for the adequacy of evidence and witness testimony," he said in Palembang, West Sumatra, Wednesday, May 24, which was confiscated by Antara.
Currently, US suspects are being held at the South Sumatra Regional Police for the next 20 days to complete the case file.

The suspect was charged with violating Law (UU) number 36 of 2009 concerning health and Article 8 Paragraph (1) letter F of the consumer protection law with a maximum prison sentence of two years and a fine of Rp. 2 billion.
He explained to US investigators that they had been circulating the unlicensed drug for the past 10 years, targeting traditional markets in Sekayu, Muba.
"The drug was brought in by the suspect from Cilacap, Central Java, assisted by a colleague with the initials SB who is currently on the wanted list (DPO)," he added.
For the disclosure, Putu appealed to the public to be more careful and if they found suspicious drug products, they could report to the police.
