Police Process Three Suspected Murderers In Dekai

JAYAPURA - Yahukimo Police Investigators are currently processing the alleged involvement of three suspected perpetrators of the murder in Dekai at the end of April.

The three people suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder, namely MM, ES, and YS who were suspected of being involved in the murder of residents in Dekai on April 30, 2023.

"They were arrested during a raid at the KKB headquarters, Dekai, last Thursday," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Prabowo to ANTARA in Jayapura, Friday, May 5.

It was also said that during the raid carried out by a joint team from the Yahukimo Police and the Cartenz Peace Law Enforcement Task Force, nine people were arrested. From the results of the examination, it was revealed that three people were suspected of being the perpetrators of the murder.

However, investigators are still investigating because there may be other perpetrators, considering that in the last 2 weeks there have been three cases of attacks that killed three civilians and injured two others.

Nine people were arrested from the KKB headquarters in Dekai, namely SL, MM, YS, ES, HS, LS, LS, GS, and SS.

From reports received during the raid, he said, a number of personal documents, electronic devices, sharp weapons in the form of arrows, axes, machetes, knives, scissors, air rifles, and tools as well as one homemade weapon were secured.

The raid on Jalan Paradiso was behind the Anggruk complex, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency at around 03.00 WIT.
