Baleg DPR Says Job Creation Perppu Will Be Taken To Plenary
JAKARTA - The Legislative Body (Baleg) of the DPR RI said that the Government Regulation in lieu of the Job Creation Law (Perppu Ciptaker) will be brought up at the upcoming plenary meeting.
This is based on the results of the Deliberation Body (Bamus) meeting which discussed the Perppu on Job Creation and the Draft Law on the Protection of Domestic Workers (RUU PPRT) yesterday.
"The results of the Bamus are that the Ciptaker Bill will be brought up in a plenary meeting," Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI Baleg Achmad Baidowi or Awiek told reporters, Wednesday, March 13.
However, Awiek has not been able to confirm the date when the plenary ratification of the Job Creation Perppu will be held. He hoped that the plenary session would be held in time so that it would become law soon.
"We hope that a plenary meeting can be held in the near future, and the Job Creation Perppu will legally become law," said the Secretary of the PPP Fraction in the DPR.
Previously, DPR Deputy Speaker Dasco said the PPRT Bill and the Job Creation Perppu (Ciptaker) would continue to be discussed during trial IV for 2022-2023. The two bills were discussed at the Meeting of the Deliberative Body (Bamus) yesterday.
"We emphasize that we are not postponing it, but we have agreed to discuss it during the next session," Dasco told reporters at the DPR RI, Senayan complex, Tuesday, March 14.
