Stab Retired TNI Officer 18 Times in 13 Seconds to Death, Hendri Hernando Demands Death Penalty
BANDUNG - Prosecutors charge Hendri Hernando as the accused in the murder of retired TNI Lieutenant Colonel Muhamad Mubin in the Lembang area, West Bandung Regency, West Java, with the death penalty.
Public Prosecutor Sugeng Sumarno demanded that Hendri be guilty by Article 340 of premeditated murder as stated in the primary charge.
"Asked the panel of judges to sentence Hendri Hernando to death", said Sugeng, who also serves as the Head of the Bandung Regency Prosecutor's Office at the Bale Bandung District Court, Bandung Regency, West Java, Antara, Tuesday, February 14.
The prosecutor stated that the burdensome thing for Hendri's prosecution was that the defendant's actions resulted in the death of the victim. In addition, according to him, the defendant's actions were classified as sadistic.
"Because it was done blindly. The defendant stabbed 18 stabs in a period of 13 seconds", he said.
Then according to him, the defendant's actions were carried out in the presence of a minor, which resulted in the child being seriously traumatized.
"The defendant also convoluted in giving testimony at trial", he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Intelligence Section of the Bandung District Attorney's Office, Mumuh Ardiansyah, said the next trial would be held on Tuesday, February 21.
"With the agenda, namely listening to defence responses or pledoi from legal advisers and the accused Hendri Hernando", said Mumuh.
Previously, the West Java Regional Police arrested Hendri Hernando as the suspect in the murder of retired Lt. Col. Muhamad Mubin.
The murder took place on August 18 2022 in Kayuambon Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency, West Java. The incident began when Muhamad Mubin parked his car in front of Hendri's house.
