Judge Is Convinced Kuat Ma'ruf Also Wants Brigadier J To Be killed
JAKARTA - Kuat Ma'ruf was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison in the case of the premeditated murder of Yosua alias Brigadier J. The panel of judges believed that Ferdy Sambo's household assistant (ART) had intentions and planned to kill Brigadier J.
Morgan Simanjuntak, a judge member of the trial for the alleged premeditated murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, concluded that Kuat Ma'ruf wanted Brigadier J.
"The panel of judges is of the opinion that the second element was intentionally proven legally," said Morgan Simanjuntak in a hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, February 14.
Morgan assesses that there was a series of Kuat Ma'ruf's involvement in the murder case of Brigadier J. The series started with the involvement of Kuat Ma'ruf in Magelang, Central Java.
"Starting with the incident in Magelang, threatening the victim, chasing the victim with a kitchen knife, taking the knife from Saguling to Duren Tiga (South Jakarta)," said Morgan.
Kuat Ma'ruf also met with Ferdy Sambo on the 3rd floor of the Saguling House, South Jakarta. The purpose of the meeting between Kuat Ma'ruf and Ferdy Sambo was to reinforce Putri Candrawathi's story about Yosua's actions in Magelang.
Based on Putri Candrawathi's story, Brigadier Yosua committed sexual violence against her at Ferdy Sambo's residence in Magelang, Central Java. The incident occurred on July 7 2022 when Ferdy Sambo returned to Jakarta first.
Putri Candrawathi told Ferdy Sambo about the incident on 8 July 2022 after Putri arrived at Saguling House, South Jakarta.
Considering that Ferdy Sambo's house in Saguling is a private house, the panel of judges considered that a household assistant or aide should not be able to easily access the 3rd floor of the Saguling House.
Therefore, according to the judge, Kuat Ma'ruf had an important role for Putri Candrawathi to convince Ferdy Sambo about what happened to Putri in Magelang.
Besides meeting Ferdy Sambo on the 3rd floor of the Saguling House, Kuat Ma'ruf is also undergoing self-isolation, even though he did not take part in the PCR test, closed the front of the house, and closed the balcony when the sun was still bright.

Ma'ruf was also considered strong by the judges who helped bring the victim to the scene of the shooting along with Ricky Rizal in the second row behind Ferdy Sambo and Richard Eliezer. This event led to the death of Brigadier Joshua or Brigadier J.
"Reflecting the defendant's attitude is none other than that the defendant had wanted and knew at the same time that there was intentional intent to kill the victim Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat at the Duren Tiga official residence number 46," Morgan said.
For his actions, Kuat Ma'ruf was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Apart from that, in the previous trial, the panel of judges also dismissed the motive for sexual harassment by Brigadier Yosua against Putri Candrawathi.
