NTB Police Suspends Detention of 2 Suspected Fuel Tanker Cases
MATARAM - NTB Regional Police investigators have suspended the detention of two of the three suspects in the tanker case who violated the rules for filling subsidized diesel fuel to fishing boats in the Telong Elong waters area, East Lombok Regency.
The Head of Public Relations of the NTB Police, Kombes Artanto, explained that the two suspects who received a suspension of detention were the captain of the Anggun Selatan Motor Tanker (KMT) and KMT Harima, owned by PT Tripatra Nusantara, having their address in Palembang.
"We have postponed the detention of the two suspected captains, considering that only they can control the ship in the midst of the current weather conditions", said Artanto when contacted in Mataram, Antara, Friday, November 25.
Meanwhile, the suspect, who is the operational manager of the tanker company, has already been detained at the NTB Police Detention Center. Furthermore, Artanto revealed that the handling of this case is still ongoing at the investigation stage and is still waiting for the results of the research file by the research prosecutor.
"So, what are the clues, we are still waiting for the results of the prosecutor's research", he said.
As for the presence of two tankers carrying fuel, Artanto said that the status of goods confiscated by investigators at the Labuhan Haji Pier, East Lombok Regency.
The MT Anggun Selatan ship and the MT Harima ship were confiscated along with the Satu Raya Motorboat (KM) belonging to an East Lombok fisherman who was suspected of receiving subsidized diesel fuel filling in the Telong Elong waters area.
The same goes for fuel evidence. From KMT Harima and KM Satu Raya, the police confiscated as much as 227,000 liters of subsidized diesel. Meanwhile, 135,000 liters of subsidized diesel are from the cargo of South Anggun KMT.

In the file, three suspects are suspected of violating Article 263 of the Criminal Code concerning Document Forgery and or Article 53 letter b of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas which regulates the provisions of transportation business permits.
