President Director AHM Becomes New Suspect in Waskita Beton Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named the President Director of PT Arka Jaya Mandiri (AJM) with the initials HA as the eighth suspect in the corruption case of misappropriation of funds at PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk.

"The suspect HA as the President Director of PT AJM signed the documents for the sale and purchase of land and reclamation with PT Waskita Beton Precast", said the Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information Center, Ketut Sumedana, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 8.

In addition, HA also plays a role in offering the use of reclaimed land to PT Waskita Beton Precast without the permission of the Serang Regency Government.

"The suspect also signed the required documents for the issuance of five workshops on a 12-hectare land located in Margagiri Village, Bojongnegara District, Serang Regency, including making an official report on the handover of reclamation land from PT AJM to the Serang Regency Government on May 21, 2018", he said.

The suspect HA is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 jo. Article 18 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

HA is the eighth suspect in this case. Previously, investigators had named seven suspects, they were Agus Wantoro, Benny Prastowo, Agus Prihatmono, Anugriatno, Hasnaeni as the President Director of PT Misi Mulia Metrikal (MMM) or known as the "Golden Woman", Kristadi Juli Hardjanto as General Manager of PT Waskita Beton Precast (WBP) and Jasot Subana, as the President Director of PT Waskita Beton Precast who is a KPK prisoner.

"For the investigation, suspect HA was detained at the Salemba State Detention Center at the Attorney General's Office for 20 days from November 8, 2022, to November 27, 2022", said Ketut.

Previously, Tuesday, July 26, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that the state lost in the case of alleged corruption, irregularities, and/or misappropriation in the use of funds at PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk amounted to IDR 2.5 trillion.
