Searching For Second Opinion, KPK Will Deploy IDI Team To Papua To Check Lukas Enembe's Health
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately checked the health of Lukas Enembe. They will bring a team from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to examine the condition of the Governor of Papua.
"We have coordinated with IDI. And yes, maybe in the near future we will send a health team from IDI to examine the person concerned as a second opinion," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters, Monday, October 17.
Alexander said a team from IDI was needed because they were independent. He emphasized that the anti-corruption commission did not want to just believe the doctor's statement from Lukas's camp.
"For law enforcement, health must be checked by an independent team of doctors," he said.
The KPK did not want to immediately state that Lukas's condition did not deserve to be examined even though there were results from doctors in Singapore.
"We did not immediately receive the (results, red) doctor from Singapore," said Alexander.

As previously reported, the KPK named Lukas Enembe as a suspect. However, the case against him has not been detailed.
Lukas will actually be questioned on Monday, September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. However, the examination was not carried out because Lukas claimed to be sick and could not provide information.
Furthermore, the KPK will again make calls that have not been informed for sure. Lukas was asked to cooperate in fulfilling the summons of the KPK investigators because his statement was needed to make clear the allegations of corruption that occurred.
