Menpora Asks Clubs And Supporters To Implement The 2022 Sports Law: Related To Rights And Obligations
JAKARTA - National football is being fixed. The goal is that the Kanjuruhan Malang Tragedy, on October 1, will not happen again.
Evaluation of expectations is not only carried out by the organizers, in this case, PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia. Clubs and supporters must also do the same.
Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali hopes that football clubs and supporters in the country can implement the 2022 sports law. In the law, there is an article that regulates the matters and obligations of football supporters.
Menpora said the government was formulating the rights and obligations of supporters. Later, the results of the formulation will be socialized.
"We will ask for their commitment so that watching football is comfortable, safe, and calm," said Menpora Amali.
Supporters are indeed one of the things that FIFA pays attention to regarding the transformation of national football. FIFA invites the Indonesian government to jointly conduct socialization and discussions with football clubs in Indonesia, including supporters' representatives, to obtain suggestions and input, as well as joint commitments.
In addition to the supporters, FIFA also wants improvements in terms of security, match schedules, and stadiums. The Minister of Youth and Sports hopes that it can be carried out in a short time so that the competition can start soon.
"I hope that from FIFA's recommendation we make serious improvements and the competition can run again. So, it is parallel to what the Minister of PUPR, the Police, and what we are doing together," explained Menpora Amali.
