COVID-19 Update as of October 9: 999 New Cases, Heals Add 1,273
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 recorded the addition of 999 positive cases of COVID-19 as of today, Sunday, October 9. The addition was based on an examination of 29,357 specimens.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,444,948 and active cases have fallen by 999 to 16,208", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Sunday, October 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,273 cases, bringing the total to 6,270,535 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 7 died and a total of 158,205 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 465 cases and a total of 1,430,886 cases. Followed by West Java with 134 new cases with a total of 1,182,258 cases. East Java has 113 new cases and a total of 606,877 cases. Then, Banten with 87 new cases and a total of 338,431 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 648 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 171 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 119 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 85 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 109,205,625.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 6.14 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,055 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 204,690,33 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,310,100. people underwent a second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 64,007,521 and the fourth dose was 637,548. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
