Six Months Raised IDR 24.88 Trillion Already, BRI Optimistic To Print More Than IDR 40 Trillion Profit This Year
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is optimistic that it can print a net profit of more than IDR 40 trillion by the end of this year. As stated by the President Director of BRI Sunarso.
"I am now optimistic and confident that by the end of the year BRI will record a profit of not less than IDR 40 trillion," said Sunarso in the Public Expose LIVE 2022 quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 14.
Until the first half of this year, BRI has achieved a consolidated net profit of IDR 24.88 trillion, an increase of 98.38 percent compared to the same period the previous year of IDR 12.54 trillion.
BRI's lending and public fund collection were able to grow positively. In terms of financing, BRI Group managed to disburse loans of IDR 1,104.79 trillion or grew 8.75 percent (yoy).
Credit distribution to all loan segments recorded positive growth, with the main pillars being the micro segment which grew 15.07 percent, the consumer segment grew 5.27 percent, the corporate segment grew 3.76 percent, and the small and medium segment grew 2.71 percent.
BRI's MSME loan portfolio grew by 9.81 percent from IDR 837.82 trillion at the end of June 2021 to IDR 920 trillion at the end of June 2022. This made the proportion of MSME loans compared to BRI's total loans continued to climb to 83.27 percent.
In terms of collecting Third Party Funds (DPK), until the first semester of 2022, BRI's DPK grew 3.7 percent to IDR 1,136.98 trillion. Low-cost funds or CASA became the main driver of BRI's DPK growth, which increased by 13.38 percent on an annual basis. In detail, demand deposits grew by 25.63 percent and savings grew 8.32 percent.

In general, currently, the proportion of BRI CASA is recorded at 65.12 percent, a significant increase compared to CASA in the same period last year which was 59.56 percent.
BRI Finance Director Viviana Dyah Ayu Retno estimates that by the end of 2022 BRI's credit will grow 9 percent to 11 percent.
"We estimate that by the end of this year, by looking at the latest developments in the economic situation, we believe that the BRI Group can still grow 9-11 percent. Of course, the growth driver will still come from the micro and ultra micro segments, which may grow slightly higher than our total growth. convey the projection of 9-11 percent," said Vivi.
As for the net interest margin or Net Interest Margin (NIM), Vivi estimates that the NIM of the issuer codenamed BBRI will be in the range of 7.7 percent to 7.9 percent. On the other hand, the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) is predicted to be in the range of 2.8 percent to 3 percent.
