Tritium Celebrates Opening Of First Global EV Fast Charger Plant Facility In The United States
JAKARTA - Some time ago, Tritium, the global leader in fast chargers (DC) for electric vehicles (EV) celebrated the opening of its first EV fast charger manufacturing facility based in the United States.
According to Tritium's announcement, the fast charging (DC) facility will be located in Lebanon, Tennessee, and employ 500 people over the next five years.
The facility was created to meet the needs of the US government and electrify transportation across America and beyond.
The Tritium Tennessee facility will initially manufacture the company's award-winning RTM fast charger, and is expected to start production on the PKM150 early next year.
This advanced DC fast charger is compatible with all EVs, compact, reliable, and cost-effective, and is expected to meet the requirements of the recently enacted Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to help reduce carbon emissions by approximately 40 percent by 2030.
"The opening of our factory in Tennessee is an important milestone for Tritium, for Tennessee, and most importantly, for American drivers. A total of 35 million electric vehicles are expected to be deployed by 2030 and those vehicles will require a more robust and convenient charging infrastructure," said Tritium CEO, Jane Hunter.
