BLACKPINK Brings Traditional Instruments To Pink Venom

JAKARTA - K-pop group BLACKPINK marked their return to music in the song Pink Venom. The song and music video will be released today, Friday, August 19 at noon South Korean time.

Pink Venom is a hip hop song that combines traditional Korean instruments. Jennie and Lisa showed off their rapping skills in a duet.

In addition, Rose and Jisoo also balance the rap part with their voices. They also carried the hook “Ratata” which reminded fans of the track How You Like That. The BLACKPINK in Your Area tagline also doesn't appear to be heard in this song.

Pink Venom is produced and written by BLACKPINK's flagship producer, Teddy with Danny Chung and R.Tee and IDO. Therefore, the characteristic of BLACKPINK is also still felt in this song.

The music video also features BLACKPINK with incredible charisma. The blaring group choreography is one of the main points of the music video.

Pink Venom is a pre-release track before BLACKPINK releases a full album titled Born Pink in September. The group also scheduled a world tour to several countries starting in October.

Indonesia did not escape from BLACKPINK's list of visits. They will hold a concert in Jakarta on March 11, 2023.

Meanwhile, they will perform the song Pink Venom at several music shows and the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. Currently, the Born Pink album can be ordered digitally and streaming.
