Unlicensed Drug Dealer In Lebak Banten Arrested, Threatened With 20 Years In Prison With IDR 10 Billion Fine

LEBAK - The Narcotics Unit of the Lebak Police of the Banten Police has succeeded in securing RY (24) the perpetrator of the crime of distributing pharmaceutical drugs without a distribution permit in the jurisdiction of the Lebak Police on Friday, August 12, at around 21.30 WIB.

The Head of the Lebak Police, the Banten Police, (Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police (AKBP) Wiwin Setiawan, through the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Lebak Police, Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Malik Abraham, confirmed the disclosure.

"It is true that the ranks of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Lebak Police have succeeded in uncovering the crime of deliberately distributing pharmaceutical preparations that do not have a distribution permit in the jurisdiction of the Lebak Police," said Malik on Monday, August 15.

Malik explained that from this case, a man and several pieces of evidence had been secured.

"From this disclosure, we have succeeded in securing the perpetrator RY, a resident of Wanasalam District, in a house in the village of Cikeusik, Wanasalam District, and managed to secure evidence of 121 pills of Heximer type of drug, cash from the sale of 75 thousand rupiah and one unit of red ASUS brand cellphone," said Malik.

Malik explained that in order to account for his actions, the perpetrators were detained by the Lebak Police.

"The perpetrator was detained at the Lebak Police and subjected to Article 196 or Article 197 of Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health with the threat of a minimum sentence of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison and a minimum fine of 1 billion and a maximum of 10 billion," Malik said.
