Desperate To Kidnap A Man's Wife In Sampang, East Java, This Man Was Finally Arrested By Police In South Kalimantan After 3 Months On The Run

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - The South Kalimantan Macan Resmob Team, Sub Directorate 3 of Jatanras Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Dit Reskrimum) of the South Kalimantan Police has managed to arrest someone who is suspected of kidnapping the wife of an Indonesian Migrant Worker (TKI) in Sampang, East Java.

"The perpetrator with the initials TL (42) was arrested on Thursday 11 August while fleeing in Banjarmasin," said Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Grand Commissioner (Kombes) Mochamad Rifa'i in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, August 14.

The kidnapping occurred on May 11, 2022, with the victim being a woman with the initials ZNM, a resident of Bancelot Hamlet, Robatal District, Sampang Regency, East Java. When the kidnapping occurred, the victim's husband was a migrant worker in Malaysia.

According to the report of victim's parents to the Sampang Police, their child was kidnapped at their home. The perpetrator threatened while draping a sickle around the victim's neck.

After three months of being a fugitive, officers managed to sniff out the kidnappers in South Kalimantan and the victims.

The Sampang Police immediately coordinated with the South Kalimantan Police until the perpetrator was finally caught.
