Long Unheard, KPK Says Investigation Of Alleged Corruption In Formula E Is Still Ongoing
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the investigation into alleged corruption in the administration of Formula E in DKI Jakarta is still ongoing. The investigation will be carried out until it is completed.
"Formula E is still under investigation," KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Karyoto told reporters, Thursday, May 4.
He didn't want to say much about this investigation. Karyoto asked the community to continue to monitor this process.
"Just pray for it to be finished quickly. How will it be finished? It's the best, right," he said.
It is known that the KPK has asked for clarification from a number of officials in DKI Jakarta regarding the Formula E racing event. They are the Head of the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate, Syaefulloh Hidayat; former Indonesian Ambassador to the United States, Dino Pati Djalal; The chairman and deputy chairman of Commission E of the DKI DPRD are Iman Satria and Anggara Wicitra.
In addition, the KPK has also requested information from the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi. After being questioned, he said he had explained several things to KPK investigators.

Including, regarding the loan of IDR 180 billion by the DKI Jakarta Dispora to pay a commitment fee to Formula E Operations (FEO). However, the loan, said Prasetyo, was carried out before the regulation on the budget for the implementation of Formula E was issued by the DKI DPRD.
"Yes, there is an approval for the plan, but regarding budgeting, right, it is discussed in the budget agency. Now in the discussion of the budget agency, before it becomes a regional regulation, borrow the Dispora to Bank DKI," Prasetyo told reporters some time ago.
"No (knowing about borrowing money, ed), we don't know. All the budget problems are those who make it," he added.
In fact, as a complement to his statement, Prasetyo at that time brought a blue folder containing a number of documents. One of them was a letter from the Dispora which was then answered by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan with Governor's Instruction Number 77 of 2019 concerning Support in Preparation for the Implementation of Formula E Activities in 2020.
