Sandiaga Uno Ready To Make The Music Industry Part Of Economic Awakening
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno invites the Association of Artists, Singers, Songwriters and Musicians of the Republic of Indonesia (PAPPRI) to participate in creating job opportunities for creative economy players, especially those who defecate in the music sub-sector.
During the inauguration and inauguration of the PAPPRI Executive Board (DPP) Management for the 2022-2027 period at the Sekar Wijayakusuma Building, Menparekraf Sandiaga said the COVID-19 pandemic had a huge impact on the creative economy sector, especially for actors working in the music sub-sector.
However, along with the recovery of the creative economy sector after the COVID-19 pandemic, there are many jobs that can be created in the music subsector.
"There are many jobs created from this music sub-sector. So once again we want to initiate closer cooperation with Pappri for our revival and there are many events that we can collaborate on together in order for us to recover our economy and create jobs. especially in the music sub-sector," said Sandiaga in his statement, Wednesday, August 3.
Menparekraf Sandiaga said that music is part of the creative economy sector which continues to grow rapidly in Indonesia. In addition, music is also closely related to people's daily activities and intersects with other creative economy sub-sectors.
It is known that the creative economy sector in Indonesia contributes a large income to the nation's economy. In which, the creative economy sub-sector in Indonesia contributed 7.5 percent to the national gross domestic product (GDP) in 2019.

Therefore, Sandiaga said that his party is committed to participating in advancing the music sub-sector in the country through programs that are right on target, right on benefit, and on time. Thus, Pappri needs to fully support to restore the music sub-sector in Indonesia.
"We want this music to be part of our (economic) revival," said Sandiaga.
