2K Removes Four WWE Games From Steam, Developers Haven't Provided Any Statement

JAKARTA - Reddit user Popstasia shared screenshots showing that some WWE games have been removed from Steam.

In his post, he shows that if you search for the keyword "WWE" on Steam, only WWE 2K22 and WWE 2K Battleground appear.

The four WWE games that are no longer available on Steam are WWE 2K17, 2K18, 2K19, and 2K20. Another user also posted that all four games had their status changed to "purchased disabled" on July 13.

Apparently, the removal came without any advance warning by 2K's developers. Even now, according to VOI monitoring, the developer has not provided any information.

However, that's not surprising because earlier in May, according to reports from VGC, 2K was already planning to shut down online servers for WWE 2K20 and 2K19.

“On June 30, 2022, we will be discontinuing support for WWE 2K19, WWE 2K20 servers,” 2K tweeted.

This closure covers all online functions, such as online matches and Community Creations. "We are shifting our full focus to supporting WWE 2K22. Thank you for your continued support!" he continued.

However, the 2K announcement doesn't make any reference to actually removing the game from the digital storefront.

On the other hand, it seems that WWE 2K22 has been the most liked game in the WWE franchise by 2K for a while now. You can play it on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
