Police Pursue Killer Of Papuan Online Media Journalist Who Died In East Jakarta, Victim's Sister: Perpetrators Of Father And Son
JAKARTA - Three perpetrators of the murder of the Raja Ampat Pos journalist have been identified by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kramat Jati Police. The perpetrators of the murder of the victim Firdaus Parlindungan Pangaribuan (45) are still being chased.
Kramat Jati Police Chief, Commissioner Tuti Aini, said that her party, assisted by the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Division, was still pursuing two of the three perpetrators.
"Two suspects have been caught, it's just a matter of chasing them for arrest. Please pray that they are still being chased", said Police Commissioner Tuti Aini when confirmed by reporters, Monday, July 25.
The victim of Firdaus Parlindungan Pangaribuan was found dead covered in blood on the sidewalk of Mayjen Sutoyo Street, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta on Tuesday, July 19.
Firdaus was found with lacerations on the left side of his head, behind his ear, and under his eyes. Firdaus is thought to have died as a result of being beaten.
The victim's sister, Dewi Santi Pangaribuan, said the family had made a report to the Kramat Jati Police, which was registered with the number 78/K/VI/2022/Sek.Kr.Jati.

The report stated that the perpetrators of the murder of Firdaus were three people. Dewi said that there were two main actors in the incident, namely A and O, who were father and son.
"It is possible that he (A) doesn't know my brother. Because my brother has been living in Papua with his wife and three children. He just returned to Jakarta in January this year", she said.
Dewi said that after the beating, the two perpetrators did not immediately run away. However, it was only in the afternoon that the two perpetrators fled and are still at large.
East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi, confirmed the incident. "The perpetrator is in pursuit", she said.
