This Is What Manchester United Manager Erik Ten Hag Is Trying To Build: It's Also The Responsibility Of The Players

JAKARTA - Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has an important mission during the preparation of the English Premier League 2022/2023 pre-season. There are things that the Dutchman wants to build at the club nicknamed the Red Devils.

Erik ten Hag explained that each of his players gave their best in every training session. Then try to implement it in the game.

"The demand is that they have to be fitter than they are now. But we are building it, it is also the responsibility of the players themselves to be fit," said Ten Hag as quoted by Sky Sports via Antara.

"They responded very well, but I know we are at the start of the process, and that takes time. We need a full pre-season, at least, but I also knew at the start of the season we wouldn't be ready, but I also knew at the start we would need results," he continued.

Ten Hag then admitted that he was not satisfied with the appearance of his team during pre-season preparations. According to him, Harry Maguire and his friends could do better.

"I'm still not satisfied, I think we can still show more, but it won't come overnight. It takes time, it's a process," said Ten Hag.

Although still not satisfied with the performances shown by his players, Ten Hag assessed that his team had given a good response during pre-season.

As is known, in the two pre-season matches that were undertaken, Manchester United managed to pack perfect results by beating Liverpool 4-0 and Melbourne Victory 4-1.

Later this week, Manchester United are scheduled to face two Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace on Tuesday (July 19) and Aston Villa on Saturday (July 23).
