3 Kilogram Gas Cylinder Thief Arrested By Jepara Police Resmob Team
JEPARA – The Jepara Police Criminal Investigation Unit of Central Java Police managed to apprehend 3 perpetrators of theft of 3 kilograms of LPG gas cylinders as many as 56 gas cylinders on Monday, July 11. The theft was carried out in a shop in Damarjati Village, Kalinyamatan District, Jepara Regency.
The Jepara Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Warsono, said that the Jepara Police had arrested three suspects, namely NY (37) a resident of Welahan, MZ (41) a resident of Kalinyamatan and AS (41) a resident of Wedung Demak.
The three of them acted in a shop in the Damarjati Village area of Kalinyamatan Jepara. This incident began on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 01.00 western Indonesia time, the two suspects, namely NY and the US, circled around monitoring the situation, after the situation was deemed safe then the suspects entered the shop by breaking the lock using iron scissors.
After entering, the suspects took 56 gas cylinders and transferred them to the car driven by another suspect, namely MZ.
After that, the suspects sold the gas cylinders to several shops in the areas of Jepara, Kudus, and Pati.
The arrest of this suspect did not take long, no more than 24 hours after receiving the theft report. Then the Jepara Police Resmob Team conducted an investigation and succeeded in identifying the identities of the suspects and making arrests.

Not only securing the suspect, but the members also secured evidence in the form of 51 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, 1 Toyota Avanza car, 1 large scissors, 2 T keys, 1 screwdriver, 1 crowbar, 1 saw, and IDR 1.752.000 in cash.
The police chief continued, from the suspect's confession that they had committed the theft of gas cylinders in several districts, namely Kudus, Pati, and Jepara. For Jepara Regency itself, there are 9 crime scenes (TKP), namely in Welahan 2 crime scenes, Kalinyamatan 2 crime scenes, Pakis Aji 1 crime scene, Annual 1 crime scene, Pecangaan 1 crime scene and Bangsri 2 crime scenes.
For this incident, the suspects violated Article 363 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum sentence of 9 years in prison.
