When Mayweather 'Proposes' Miley Cyrus To Become A Ring Girl, The Reason: Danced On Stage While Sticking Her Tongue Out And Twerking
JAKARTA - Floyd Mayweather once wanted "Twerk Queen" Miley Cyrus to be a ring girl in one of his boxing fights.
The former four-weight world champion is no stranger to hot ring girls in his battle after becoming one of the sport's biggest stars during his undefeated professional career.
However, after his victory over Canelo Alvarez in September 2013, he made a special request about who he wanted as a ring girl.
In an interview with Billboard in the days following the fight, Mayweather admitted he wanted Cyrus in his next fight and even called him "Twerk Queen".
"I was thinking about letting Twerk Queen Miley Cyrus lead me into the ring. Why not?" explained the Olympic bronze medalist.
The title "Twerk Queen" for Cyrus comes from her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards that year, where she twerked and danced on stage with Robin Thicke.
Unfortunately for Mayweather and boxing fans, Cyrus has not emerged as a ring girl in any of his fights since, as Mayweather later retired with a 50-0 professional record after defeating Conor McGregor via technical knockout in August 2017.

Since then, he's competed in a series of exhibition fights, most recently against YouTuber Logan Paul in Miami, Florida in June last year.
Mayweather was scheduled to return to the ring last weekend to face his former sparring partner Don Moore on the helipad at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. But it was postponed after the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.
Moore also has an unbeaten professional record of 18-0-1, but his last professional bout came six years ago in 2016.
