JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Aji, can't wait to race at the Le Mans Circuit, France, this weekend. He wants to continue the positive trend achieved in the previous Moto3 race.
In the Moto3 race at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, Mario Aji failed to get points. However, he has started to find a motorcycle suit that is quite promising. Starting the race from 24th position, the driver from Magetan managed to finish in 17th position.
"After getting a good pace in Jerez, I can't wait to race again at Le Mans. I don't expect any results in this race, just want to apply what I learned at Jerez, including mistakes in Q1," said Mario Aji, in VOI received releases.
For Mario Aji, Le Mans Circuit is a new track. This made the rider trained by the Astra Honda Racing Team to learn from the first free practice session which took place on Friday, May 13.
"I have to work hard starting from the first free practice, overcome it, focus on myself and make the team happy. After the test in Barcelona, I feel more prepared than before," said Mario Aji.
Mario Aji now occupies the 25th position in the Moto3 riders' standings with two points. The Honda Team Asia racer got those two points when he finished 14th in the race at the Mandalika Circuit, Indonesia.
Mario Aji's performance in his Moto3 debut is actually quite slick. He has started the race twice from the front grid, namely third in Moto3 Mandalika and second in Moto3 Portugal. Now, the rider just needs to find consistency during the race.
