4 Out Of 30 Kelurahan In Palangka Raya Are Still In The High Risk Zone For COVID-19 Transmission

KALTENG - Palangka Raya Mayor, Fairid Naparin, said four sub-districts in his area were still in the high-risk zone for COVID-19 transmission or the red zone.

"Until yesterday, out of 30 sub-districts, only four villages were still in the red zone status for the spread of COVID-19," Fairid said in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 19.

According to data from the Palangka Raya COVID-19 Handling Task Force, one sub-district in Pahandut District and three sub-districts in Jekan Raya District are still in the red zone.

Each of the sub-districts in the Pahandut and Sabangau sub-districts was recorded as being in the orange zone or the moderate risk zone for transmission.

In addition, there is one sub-district in Pahandut District, Jekan Raya District, Sabangau District, and Bukit Batu District that has entered the low-risk zone or yellow zone.

Based on government data, there are already 20 urban villages that are in the green zone or zone without COVID-19 cases in the capital city of Central Kalimantan Province.

The sub-districts that are included in the green zone are scattered in Pahandut District (3), Sabangau District (4), Bukit Batu District (6), and Rakumpit District (7).

According to data from the Task Force, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Palangka Raya City since the beginning of the pandemic until now has a total of 17,697 cases with a total of 17,102 patients who have recovered and a total of 538 patients who died.

There are 57 patients with COVID-19 who are still undergoing quarantine and/or treatment in Palangka Raya City.
