Blacklisted By The West Kalimantan Police, Kadin Chairman Involved In Corruption In Road Construction Arrested In A Cafe In The West Jakarta Region
PONTIANAK - The West Kalimantan (Kalbar) Regional Police arrested the chairman of the West Kalimantan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) with the initials JI who had been on the wanted list (DPO) related to a corruption case.
"JI was arrested in West Jakarta, Monday night, March 28 at around 19.00 p.m. in a cafe," said Head of Public Relations of the West Kalimantan Police, Commissioner Jansen Avitus Panjaitan in Pontianak, Antara, Tuesday, March 29.
He explained that after being flown from Jakarta to Pontianak, JI immediately underwent a medical examination, then examined him as a suspect.
"The JI suspect will most likely be detained after the examination," he said.
Previously, the West Kalimantan Police published a wanted list (DPO) of the JI suspect. JI was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the construction of the Tebas Road, Sambas Regency in 2019, when he served as Director of PT BAB, the executor of the road construction project.
The suspect had been absent several times when summoned by the West Kalimantan Police investigation team, so he was deemed uncooperative and complicates the investigation process.
