Death Cases Due To COVID-19 In Indramayu Add 5 People

INDRAMAYU - The Indramayu District Health Office, West Java, recorded that there were five additional cases of death due to exposure to COVID-19, and their average age was over 45 years with comorbidities.

"Indeed, there are five additional deaths a day due to exposure to COVID-19," said Head of the Disease Control Prevention (P2P) Division of the Indramayu District Health Office, Dede Setiawan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 24.

Dede said the addition of death cases brought the total cases of residents of Indramayu Regency, who died as a result of being confirmed positive for COVID-19 to 790 people since the beginning of the pandemic was announced.

According to him, the average age of the five residents who died was over 45 years old, and they had congenital or comorbid diseases.

"The average age of those who died was over 45 years," he said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, February 24, there were 245 confirmed cases of positive COVID-19 in Indramayu Regency, and 67 people recovered.

Dede added that for the total active cases in Indramayu Regency, there are currently 2,067 people who are either undergoing self-isolation or hospitalization.

Meanwhile, of the eight referral hospitals for COVID-19 patients, the bed capacity has reached 44.50 percent.

"From the existing capacity, our BOR is already at 44.50 percent," he said.
