Hit Leeds 6-0, Liverpool Close To City At The Top Of The Standings
JAKARTA - Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane each scored twice as Liverpool thrashed Leeds United 6-0 on Thursday to reduce the gap from Premier League leaders Manchester City to three points.
As reported by Antara, Liverpool took the lead in the 15th minute through Salah's penalty and after that they were unbearable.
A rare goal from Joel Matip made it 2-0 just after half an hour, before another Salah penalty automatically gave the Reds the upper hand before half-time.
Salah was again instrumental in the movement that saw Mane score the Reds' fourth goal 10 minutes from time. Senegal forward added his second in the 90th minute.
