Using Google Maps Wrongly, Middle School Student In Bekasi Who Rides Motorcycle Enters Toll Roads
JAKARTA - A junior high school student with the initials KS (16) lies in the middle of the road after being hit by a car on the Kilometer 800 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, the route from Jakarta to Bekasi, East Jakarta area.
According to information, the incident occurred when the victim was about to go to school in the Bekasi area by riding a motorbike. To reach the destination, the victim opened the Google Maps application with the motorbike she was driving.
However, when using Google Maps, the option the victim chose turned out to be for a car. So the map directs the victim to enter the toll road through the Halim Toll Gate.
When she entered the toll road area, the victim panicked because there were no motorbikes around her. The victim decided to turn around again. But when she turned around, a car accelerated and hit the victim from behind.
As a result, the victim suffered injuries to the chin and hands. Officers who arrived at the location, immediately rescued the victim and took him to the UKI hospital.

The Head of Traffic Accident Unit (Laka Satlantas) of the East Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Seno Wibowo, said the victim lived in the Depok area and had taken a motorbike to go to school for the first time.
"Usually the victim is escorted by her parents by car," he told reporters, Friday, February 18.
Furthermore, Iptu Seno also said that the victim had lived in Bekasi for a long time but her parents moved to Depok. Meanwhile, she (the victim) stays at her school in Bekasi.
"The option she used in Google Maps is for a car, but she rides a motorbike. It enters the toll road, she is surprised that it's only her own motorbike. She turns around and there is a touch with the car. She fell and was injured," he said.
The victim suffered lacerations to her chin and blisters on her hands and feet.
"When the victim fell, she was still conscious. The condition did not die. The victim was taken to the UKI Hospital. We are waiting for the results of the hospital observations. The victim is a 3rd grade junior high school student," he said.
Meanwhile, the victim's motorbike has been secured to the East Jakarta Satwil Traffic Traffic Unit Office. The case is still being handled by the East Jakarta Regional Unit (Satwil).
