7 Elementary School Teachers In Bandarlampung Infected By COVID, Mayor Eva Dwiana Sad That Many Residents Underestimate This Virus
LAMPUNG - Data from the Education and Culture Office said that seven elementary school (SD) teachers in Bandarlampung City, Lampung Province were infected with COVID-19.
Mayor of Bandarlampung Eva Dwiana said that her party had received reports regarding elementary school teachers who had contracted COVID-19. She asked relevant government agencies to work together to prevent and overcome the transmission of COVID-19 in schools and other environments.
"I believe that if we work well together, we can overcome COVID-19," she said in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 7.
Until now, according to Eva, many people still underestimate COVID-19. Meanwhile, according to the Acting Secretary of the Bandarlampung City Education and Culture Office, Mulyadi, one teacher who was infected with COVID-19 was at SDN 2 Beringin Raya and the remaining six teachers were at SDN 1 Tanjung Bahagia.
Teachers who have COVID-19 have been in self-isolation (isoman) and the government has followed up on the transmission of the coronavirus to teachers by tracing contact history and checking.

"We have told schools that those who are exposed to isoman first. Then those who are not exposed, they still picket with a shift system of two to three people, so that there is service for those who want to legalize diplomas or need correspondence," he said.
He said that the department had not received any reports regarding cases of COVID-19 transmission to school students in Bandarlampung. "In 2022, this is the first case in elementary schools, especially educators, for other information we have not received," he said.
